Acknowledging Images

When you use images, the source should be acknowledged, and ideally the license under which the image is used (often this will be a Creative Commons license)

The easiest – but also the messiest – way to do this is in the caption:

This can detract from the flow of the text sometimes, so an alternative is to add the relevant source information in the image Title field:

Image_Title

 

The resulting image looks a lot cleaner on the page:

And if you hover your cursor over it, the attribution is displayed:

Title Display

 

In all cases, make sure you link the image back to the source:
