Commenting Guidelines

Please comment!  It doesn’t matter whether you think you know everything or are worried you know nothing, your questions and comments will make our bloggers’ day and help them improve their skills.  If you like what you read, if you don’t understand it, if you can see how it could be communicated better, even if you don’t like what you read – please don’t be shy in telling the authors!

Please be civil.  Strong comments are fine – but please keep within the bounds of civility.  Comments considered offensive to the writers and to readers will be removed.

Please try and to keep on topic.  Blog-inspired side conversations are fine – but please resist the temptation to talk about stuff that is completely irrelevant to the post.

And please encourage our writers as much as possible.  Even if it’s just a case of writing “nice post!”, it makes a huge difference.

Thanks.

  2. No need to approve this – but I wanted to note that “try and” in your third point above should actually be “try to”. Since you are students (and I’m an editor), I thought I’d mention it.

Great project! I’m looking forward to reading your work.

  3. I like the content and concept. However, it’s difficult to read due to the font style that you use! Because of the unusual, non-standard font, I can’t get through the articles. Please remove the fixed font format so that user’s web browsers will display a readable font.

      • Safari, Mac, the font on your site is a “light” style (very thin, closely spaced).
I don’t know the name of the font (maybe it is Helvetica Light). But your website is using styling that is “fixed”. The site doesn’t let the browser display fonts according to it’s own settings. It is very difficult to read the light font. Also, is the font black? It might be a shade of gray. Hard to say. Hard to read. Also…no way to contact anyone here directly by email?

        • Thanks Mark.

The lack of an email contact was an oversight – now added.

On the font front, we use a well established template in WordPress, and I am loath to start messing around with it at this point.
